Space Operations Mission Directorate (SOMD)

The Space Operations Mission Directorate (SOMD) was one of the two new mission directorates created in September 2021 by NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. SOMD is responsible for enabling sustained human exploration missions and operations in our solar system.  It also manages future space operations, as well as commercial launch services to the International Space Station.[1]
