Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP)

Rear Admiral Kenneth W. Epps, Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), and Chief of Supply Corps[1]

The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) mission is to provide weapon systems support; sustained global logistics; and quality of life support to Navy and Joint warfighters. NAVSUP oversees supply chains that supply material for Navy aircraft, surface ships, submarines and related weapons systems as well as manages the Navy’s non-nuclear ordnance stockpile inventory. Further, the command provides base and waterfront logistics support services; coordinates material delivers; contracts supplies and services; and provides material management and warehousing services.[2]

NAVSUP is also responsible for numerous quality of life programs such as the Navy Exchanges, Navy Lodges, the Navy Personal Property Program, and the Navy Postal System. The organization administers the Navy Food Service Program and is responsible for the policies and procedures that govern daily operations of afloat and ashore general messes.[2]
