Lieutenant General Edward D. Banta, Deputy Commandant, Installations & Logistics [1]

The Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics (DC I&L) acts on behalf of the Commandant for specific issues of logistics policy and management, as well as coordinates logistics moves with other agencies.[2]

The Installations and Logistics Department establishes logistics plans and policies with a focus to increase Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) lethality by supplying support through the modernization of logistics processes; implementation of technology and best practices; development of performance standards; and the integration of the establishment as the fifth element of the MAGTF.[2]
